health unit injections

has anyone ever gone to the health unit(Canada) to have their gear injections done by a certified nurse?
My source was telling me if i wasnt comfortable doing it myself that i could go to the health unit and they could not refuse me.They will try to convince me otherwise but if i say ok i will go home and attempt to do it myself, they are liable and have to do it .is this true?

I have never heard of that but i know that my health unit in my city gives you all your pins for free, they have a needle exchange program and they give you a container to put them in once your done, so i think they might actually have that policy.
