    flinching while injected

    i have a knot on my thigh bone after injection... it is now the 5th day and it hurts like hell (test cyp. and deca). used the right needle 1 1/2 on the glute, 22 gauge and new. also sterilize the shot area. my friend seems to think that its like that because i flinched while i was shot. the phone doctor said it might be an infection because it is swollen and it hurts when touch... mind you it is not at the injection point but at my thigh bone where it connects to the hip bone.... had some helpful answers on this site but i'm just specifying a little better. first timer by the way on my 4th week.

    It does help to relax the muscle completely while shooting. I would give it more time, it should go away. If it doesn't go so a physician.

    Try some heat and massage on the area for a while that may help. Shot after you take a hot hot shower so muscles are nice and warmed up.. You should be fine as long as not an infection

    Good advice. If it is not red or hot/warm, you probably just moved the needle around too much.

    I am, however, a little confused how you hit your thigh bone while injecting your ass. Sound like you were too low and too far off to the side.

    If you can't get the right angle on your ass, then shoot your thigh next time. It is a hell of a lot easier - at least in my opinion. Also, the slower you push the liquid in, the less pain your will feel. I go super slow and have little to no pain. If you push the liquid in fast and hard, you'll feel it for a while.
