I saw my squats go up by working hard on my power cleans and doing some intense plyometrics. Also, hitting some heavy dead lift would help as well.
i often use a 4 x 4 scheme with the compound lifts, lately have been using 5 x 5 for squats, and its working great. give that a try if its something different to what your doing now
