i dunno... maybe switch hands when masturbating?
maybe use db's only for a while.
Yeah. Stroke with the left more oftin.
Also give it time. You should equalize as you continue to workout as your weaker arm will be forced to compete with your stronger one and your stronger will be forced to go easy untill the other catches up.
yeah ive thought about that switching hands but i cant control it as well with my left, lol ......... no seriously, it is just weird, even when i get the workout "pump" in the gym my right bicep just looks very large and then my left is just somewhat "pumped" ..... i do use dumbbells, i had even wondered if i use a lighter weight for my right arm and then heavier for my left
My 2 cents is to not use different weights for each arm. Try just doing more reps. Your right one might not 'struggle' as much, but your left will be forced to catch up. You should even out soon. Good luck.

some of the above posts not withstanding lol,i wouldnt worry about it,its very common for people who have just started training to have larger left or right arms, legs or whatever they will even out more in time.even now my right arm is slightly bigger than my left after years of training, but stangely enough my left tricep development has serpassed my right confusing but true.
I have the same problem only my dominant arm is smaller. My left arm is about and inch+ bigger and has a better peak. My dominant arm for some reason I cant even really flex.
Deffinitly start going iso lateral with some dumbell work. And stop using collars - without collars it is easier to tell if one side is pulling more of the load then the other... because the plates will slide.
I would definitely do some isolation lifts, like some dumbell preacher curls, etc.. Sounds like you'll just have to push your left bicep alittle harder until it catches up, which if your lifting properly should not be a problem
thanks guys ...... and Helium, nice build .... i need your routine and supps!
another tip
make sure you watch your form whenever you lift
single arm concentration curls til u can force the weaker arm 2 catch up
IMHO - muscle mechanics are far too complex to think this is a good idea. There are a lot of variables that go into strength and hypertrophy... and working one arm and not the others will set the stage for various other imbalance issues. Working unilaterally with dumbells is the best way to bring back some balance... you end the set with however many reps your weakest arm can handle...Originally Posted by violator1
I had the same problem before. What I did is I just used dbs, same weight, dont use different weights for each arm, same weight, and just did my sets. As soon as my weaker-left arm- couldnt go anymore thats when the set was over even though my right arm could still pull extra reps. If You do this, over time your weaker arm will catch up. Maybe not %100 even, but very close to it.
Good luck
agreed, had a similar problem b4 thru an injury which made my left bi weaker. so now i try to do a lot of dumbell curls, only ever doing as many as my weaker arm can do. don't expect immediate results tho, it will take time. also make sure the reps you perform are identical in terms of form and pace.Originally Posted by UberSteroids

Is it a bad idea to try and do one more set with your weaker arm and use the other to give that little extra push?
I've got a similar problem, my left is smaller than right, so I'm taking the info in as well..Good ?
If you're right handed and you normall start off all one-arm lifts with you're right then change to your left first. For example, if you do single-arm preachers curls, start using your weaker arm first.
I will give that a shot for a couple of weeks
start your training with your left arm and use same weight for 2hands- dont make sh1t like 22lbs for right and 15lbs for left ;D
yeah i'm like steve but only not as much. about a half inch difference and all my stretch marks are on my bigger non dominant left armOriginally Posted by Steve80
Funny my left bicep is bigger than my right but my right is stronger.

This Could Be From Lack Of Correct Form By Your Weaker Arm Try Focusing More On Your Form With Your Left Bicep. Also Try Adding A Few More Reps When Working Your Left Bicep For Awhile.
What to do ? Nothing... just keep working out and make sure You are doing the SAME number of reps on each arm when using dumbbells.
Go heavy weights, weight that You can do for max of 6-7 reps.
Over time it will catch up..
I know what I am talking about, tried different methods, this one works out best. MY left bicep used to be 1.25 smaller than right one! So much weaker too. It does work.
Good luck!
my left was always bigger and stronger when doing curls but im a righty i never understood that one
