When the spanish got here in the 1500 it was recorded that about 300,000 native americans where here already. I guess If your not one of them then you should watch your back as well.

what really got the natives in central and south america was the disease that the spanish brought with them. it totally decimated them... honestly, that era of histroy makes me sick. right now im in a history class that covers that time era, and its pretty twisted how the europeans totally screwed over native americans and african people.

actually they did. i read a passage from some dudes journal or whatever from the time period, and he thought it was funny to see the natives suffering from the diseases. it says something like how the native man cant even move from being so fu_ked up. damn, i wish i could go back in time with hella AK-47s, glocks, mp5s, frag grenades and claymore mines, and armed the native american people with that to repel the europeans. haha, can you imagine seeing a fat war tribe of native american warriors creeping up on the europeans with their muskets or whatever? haha the europeans would be pretty surprised to see fully auto assault rifles in the hands of their enemies.

btw, the europeans did more than mistreat and steal from the natives. they massacred them, raped their woman, destroyed their land and forced their own religion and way of life onto these people. i read about one time when some british guy invited a tribe of native americans to eat a feast with them. when the indians sat down, the british troops snuck up from behind, and slit their throtes... every single one of them.

the thing that bothers me the most about it is how the native americans wanted to peacfully co-exist with these people. they wanted to be friends with the europeans... i read a quote from a native american war cheif saying that exactly in his own words...

What really killed the native americans were the diseases that the Europeans had. Their bodies weren't use to them and killed most of them. Chicken poks or what ever is called killed them. Also if they didn't become christians they died as well.

yea. france simply didn't have the man power in america to conquer the native americans, so they decided to make alliances with them. besides, they wanted animal fur, and the native americans made it much easier for them to get it.
