My legs are still sore from a hard workout yesterday, and my friend says it's not bad to run. It seems to me that my legs are sore for a reason - they are recovering, and that taxing them the day after would be counterproductive. Is this a bad idea?

It's good. Gets the blood curculating.
Maybe walk instead - lower impact
i'd do low impact as Bcap stated. active recovery isn't a bad thing at all, but keep it light.
its not the best option, but when im cutting i do run regardless.
if your trying to build size in ur legs, it is not a good idea...however if your trying to get the lactic acid out try the stair stepper, will make ur legs even harder without losing size
I would refrain from running.
An eliptical trainer, recumbent bike, etc., done at a nice easy pace is better for recovery. Beating the pavement is not the best idea, no.

im just beginning to discover this,i used to run a while ago and wasnt training much but when i did both i started to feel it,its also getting harder the heavier i become. ive decided to power walk and use my eliptical, its a breeze.Originally Posted by SwoleCat
