23g pin too big for delt?

I purchased all of my pinz in one size--23g 1.5" b/c I had planned on doing all of my injections in the glute. I have decided to start rotating to the delts and quads. Will these pinz work or are they too big...I understand that the length is a little long--I wouldnt drive it the whole way in..but is 23g unacceptable? btw, shooting t200 and deca. Thanks for your comments.

23 guage is fine. For delts and quads, it's best to use 1"....

I agree 23ga is golden. I used to use 18ga in my quad so 23ga is like an insect bite to me. If you use a 1.5 just leave the pin out .5 more than usual.

23g is fine i always use it but i duno about 1.5 i would go with 1 inch but just dont push the needle in all the way, thats wat i do sometimes

I've used 23g 1 1/2" pins on delts before . I just put it in about an inch and it works fine.

an easy way to make sure the whole 1.5 dosent go in and keep it stable is to cut the plastic cover on the pin so that 1 in sticks through.it will help from moving around.

Nice idea 4plates. I always have a hard time keeping it out if I use a longer needle then necessary (which is rare). I'll have to give that a try next time I run out of 1 inchers.

G-pig, It left a huge hole. I was new and stupid. Plus my only source for needles, at the time, was a vet supply.

Seriously bro...pinz are cheap. Yea you CAN use 23 guage...it will work. But there is such a thing as scar tissue.
Don't be cheap...this is your body....if a smaller size will do the job then use a smaller size.
I only use 23 for glutes. 25 for every else.

Would a 28g 1" be good for anything besides slin?
