What supps are good to take to help heal a soft tissue injury?

I asked this question on the injuries and rehab forum but I didn't know if it would be more appropriate here. As some of you know I am recovering from surgery that I had on May 9, 2006 to repair a ruptured pectoral muscle. What supps can I take that will help heal this injury? I will not take any HGH, AAS, or pro hormones though.

Right now I am taking a multi vitamin and vitamin c caps in the morning and a slow acting protein shake with 1 tbsp of flax oil and 1 teaspoon of glutamine peptides in it before I go to bed. I am also taking 800 mg of motrin 3 times a day. I'm drinking plenty of water and getting alot of sleep. Not to mention I'm keeping my protein intake high.

Do you think it's possible to make a full recovery without taking any HGH, AAS, or pro hormones? In case it matters, I'm 26 years old.

So there's nothing I can take (besides HGH, AAS, and pro hormones) to help speed up healing and recovery?

Well I guess I'll have to be patient. My surgery was on May 9, 2006. I got 10 weeks of physical therapy and than I can start slowly getting back into lifting. I hope I'm back to where I was (strength wise) by December.

Here is my timeline for recovery, what do you guys think?:

Just be patient. Rehab always sucks. I think food, rest, and physical therapy is the best option. It's always frustrating trying to rehab a post-op joint or muscle, just push through it and you'll be back where you want to be soon enough. Rehabbing an injury truly separates the men from the boys. I used to remember that every day and it was all the motivation I needed to get through it.

Smile Arginine may provide benefits when used as a supplement after surgery.

Arginine is important in healing and repair of tissue as well as the formation of collagen and building of new bone and tendons. Arginine's ability to improve wound healing and immune-system function is thought to be related to its stimulation of the release of growth hormone. Symptoms of arginine at massive dosages may include skin thickening and coarsening of the skin.

The price for 1000g of arginine is cheap at Bulk.Nutrition

    I've been taking:

    1) 1 multi vitamin a day (at breakfast time)
    2) 1 500 mg vitamin c cap a day (at breakfast time)
    3) 1 scoop of whey protein mixed with 1 teaspoon of glutamine peptides and 1 cup of egg beaters (at breakfast time) along with my oatmeal
    4) 2 scoops of Micellean (a slow acting protein) with 1 teaspoon of glutamine peptides and 1 tbsp of flax oil at bed time
    5) 800 mg of motrin with food 3 times a day (breakfast, dinner, and at bedtime)

I've also been drinking alot of water, getting plenty of sleep, and eating alot of good protein, healthy carbs, and EFA's.

Am I doing the right thing to promote good speedy healing?
