I currently eat cottage cheese for my final meal of the day becuase according to many on here its slow diegesting and good for muscle recovery throughout the night. Does anyone know where there is an published article on this idea

    thanks bros

It's not necessarily the cottage cheese it's the casein protein in cottage cheese which is slow digesting and cottage cheese also has adaquate fat. If you wish, buy some casein protein and make a pro/fat shake for the same concept. The only reason why you hear of it being the best for before bedtime is because most people (including myself) are advocates for "real" food as apposed to shakes all day and night. Do a search for casein protein and you'll find a lot about it.

Casein does not = whey if that's what you are referring to.

They are 2 different kinds of protein.

I use a lot of pepper...some people think it's strange but that's how I grew up eating it. If I have pineapple around I'll cut up some chunks of that and put it in w/o the pepper though.
