Stupid TV show

So I was watching Law & Order: SVU right now for a second and the show tonight is about some kid on steroids. The detectives are all talking about how bad roids are and this kid beat someone to death because he was in a 'roid rage' LOL. One of the cops said he once saw a guy in a 'roid rage' rip a door off it's hinges and throw it. They also said DHEA should be banned, lol- who uses that crap anyway?

Yeah, I've never really watched it before and was just blown away with some of the BS info they were passing on as facts

I was watching that show then got in an argument with my mom. She is real into that show and was watching it and I walked in when they said all that. I was like "Oh yeah! The steroids made him kill the guy! He didnt do it..the steroids did!" Shes like.."that happens...you cant control yourself on them" then..shes like blah blah why would you get all your information from a steroid website blah blah and doctors is where I get my information from and they know better etc..long debate and I just tried to not get mad. When they made the roid rage comment I was like yep! When you are on steroids and you get mad its called roid rage..I guess when normal ppl get mad its called "getting upset"or something like that. Man...

It's rediculous- probably the majority of people you would walk up to on the street would tell you that steroids are extremely bad and basically all the BS that the media puts out. I hate it when people take everything they hear on TV shows or even the news as fact without forming their own opinions.

thats because everyone in those cases was using steroids. You need steroids to get angry..duh

I was about to post something on this.. Well what was funny at the end with the kid when he was going to kill himself the detective said something like "when was the last time you took steroids?" the kids said a week ago and the detective said " it the withdrawal symptoms that what happens when you stop taking steroids" WTF????

I saw something similar the other day on some other show but I can't remember what it was.
