    Don't mix carbs with fat

How obsessed do I need to be with this rule?

I mean some foods already contain both of these, so what is the ratio that I should be looking for?

Any good articles on the subject?

I think that a lot of people overblow this separation. I feel that it is more individual than anything. I usually wont go higher than say 15g fat with any carb meals, but to some that may be too high. Try it out and see what works for you. Also, if you are looking for some info try johnberardi.com. He more or less made separation mainstream.

You don't have to choose the foods that have both of them.
The foods that are good for you don't have both!

    Meats/veggies/clean carbs/etc.

Those are foods that should be used, and they don't have a mix of carbs/fat.

Dependent upon your propensity to store fat, metabolism, insulin response, etc., it's a good idea to seperate the two if your goal is a lean physique.

However, you have to find what works for you.
