Raw is best if you can chew it

But youll prefer fresh and cooked better.Canned foods arent really healthier so always go fresh when possible.

I cut them into french fry shaped pieces, brush lightly with olive oil, spice them up with salt, pepper, and some cajun seasoning then bake them for an hour or so.

It's a really good change up from just regular baked. I used to just bake then put some sugar free syrup on it but man did that get old after a while.

I've always wondered if the sugar was cause for concern with them. Sure they're low GI and all..but what about all that sugar. I guess the same could be said for fruit,.

I wouldn't worry about the sugars from sweet taters. I'd be more concerned w/ fruit sugars, personally.

Sweet tateres are the BOMB!! Eat 'em and eat 'em often.

    added sugar in bruce's yams...

when I said LOADED w/sugar...i was referring to that brand "Bruces" in the can....i think they add more sugar to them....i guess to make them like a candied yam or something...the sugars that come from them natty are fine...that's it...i'm headin to publix

lower Gi, complex carbs, not simple carbs...

Sugar from them is not a concern at all..it is high but it is not a concern due tio the low GI and the slower digestion of them the sugar does not spike your insulin at all...hence the lower GI....

peel them, chop them into little chunks, and boil for 30-45minutes...put them in tupperware and have them twice a day, everyday, for ever.....
