i dont wait at all, after the cardio on an empty stomach i feel almost light headed and need to eat right away
if trying to keep as much muscle as possible, eat as soon as u can. sometimes i may wait about 15mins or so but only because im winded and need to catch my breath before being able to chow down

New here and looking to improve. One common thing I read here is the fact that alot of people do cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.......
Riddle me this.....if I am bulking, how much cardio (how long) should I do?
Does this change if you are cutting?
I would think that I would have to eat immediately afterwards, I am pretty freakin' hungry in the morning!!!!
I usually wait an hour or so, but i wanna lose bodyweight.
Alot of times guys will drink a protein shake and 15 to 30 mins later eat there meals...me i'll take my BCAA's and then start cooking.
Fat burning is minimal after light cardio anyway. Best to get something in you rather quickly to get out of a catabolic state. I shoot for no less than 15 minutes or so. And like Bigmax, I'll usually pop my BCAA's on the drive home, but ran out of those a couple months back. LOL

IMO immediately afterwards.Originally Posted by boxingbean

I advise:
pro/fat = 10 - 15 mins. after.
pro/carb = 15 -20 mins. after.
Experiment and see what works for you, these are only my suggestions and what I have clientele do.

ok so i go walk incline 10 min, run 20, sprint 3, then ride bike for 10 at moderate speed...go home, drink protein shake with egg whites 1 hour prior to morning oatmeal
is how i do now....watchu think
