the only time i get to workout is after work at 6pm. by time i get home from lifting/cardio, its almost 9pm. since its so close to bedtime, do i eat a full meal, or just a shake? keep in mind that i must be up at 3:30am so sleep time is precious.

Do u really workout for 3 hours? I know u said cardio too, but damn that's a long time. Ideally u want a pwo shake w/simple carbs and whey (easily digested aminos), then 1 to 1.5 hours later another solid carb/protein meal.

It doesn't matter what time od the day you take in your PWO nutrition. It must be done to quickly get your body into an anabolic state. Since there is only about 6 hours of sleep you can fit in, I would suggest a small PWO shake and about 30 minutes later a small PWO meal. ANd immediately after try to get some sleep.

i'm usually at the gym about 1.5 hours lifting and another 30 minutes for cardio. it takes 20 minutes to get to the gym from my house.

i have the same problem most of the time, just make sure you hit the muscles u are working on, have the shake and then the meal 1-1.5 hrs as mentioned above. My pwo2 is at 10-10:30 sometimes... then i eat a profat meal at like 1230-1 (if i don't pass out)
I have my ppwo no matter how late..sometimes it falls on the last meal of the day...so be it
