whats with all the Offsides?

O.K. I have never really been into soccer or "futbol" but I have watched plenty of it in the past. What is the deal with all the fuking offsides calls in the World Cup? That is the gayest rule I have ever seen. You get penalized because you beat some slower guy to the ball? I don't get it

its not cuz the guy is slower to get to the ball. its because the ball isnt there yet and the guy is....i def think its fair, even tho they mess alot of the offsides calls up.

offsides in soccer is when the ball is kicked, the guy cant be beyond the last defender

its def fair, if it wasnt everyone would just stand by the goal and wait for a long kick

A lot of Teams play the OFFSIDE TRAP..
but a tie goes to the attacker, so i've seen a lot of teams get burnt by it also.

It just is infuriating when they call OFFSIDES when there really was no offside.

Without offsides we would just cherry pickers. Italy had 11 offsidedes against the US on Saturday

To me it's about as entertaining as golf or tennis. Just not interesting to me in the least bit. I like football and basketball myself.

i cant stand to watch or play soccer. i think its torture. i cant watch golf or tennis either. But i actually like playing both.

Soccer has never caught on in North America...

it's huge in europe though.

well i guess since i was brought up a in a 'european' kind of atmosphere i m a fan of sports such as soccer, tennis, and especially women's gymnastics
