well, if you are training them, meaning you are stressing them, and giving them enough rest before hitting them again..

and you are consuming enough nutrients to grow muscle..

static training always makes me grow like a week.. lateral raises, side raises, and overhead press.. static.. work for me..

I'm sure push press works but i had shoulder problems shortly after doing these for a few weeks. Just a heads up that its an exercise that isnt easy to perform correctly .

i see best results when i perform controlled reps for shoulders, i see alot of guys using momentum to "sling" weight.

That's because they see all the pros doing it. I do it cause the slow controlled stuff wasn't working.

personally i dont go behind the neck with any press as im afraid of injuring my rotator cuff but if experienced and have good technique it can be very benificial.

something to try for a little while. Combine seated bent over lateral db raises, seated lateral raises, and seated forward raises with standard bb press. # reps same for each excercise, one after another (no rest), finish
with bb press(standing). Sometimes I would start with a heavier bb, do X reps, go straight to the seated db raises(3 excercises/sets), then finish with lighter bb standing press. I did this 3 times, usually ended up cheating halfway thru(definite burn). Gave me some shape though. This is a variation of somebody's wo, seated or standing is your choice.

Do you guys think that the barbell frontraise is a must have exercise? Or its not necessairy to gain mass?

I hate doing it, it hurts my wrists...

Can I just do a 4 exercise program like:

    Db millitairy press
    Cable Latteral raise
    Db seated latteral raise

Or should I add a lying rear death row?

    Thanks

Behind the neck is risky without a spotter, but I still do it from time to time. With lighter weight focusing on contraction.

i usually do 12 sets total of pressing,db shoulder press and then barbell and usually a smith or a shoulder press machine.

behind the neck i hear is bad for you as well

i say rear delts is def important in makeing you look big

people say i'm doing well for only being 20

I find upright row to be very effective for adding mass to my shoulders, gives you a nice wide look, really helps to get the incline bench numbers up as well

The arnold dumbell press is best of all! Palms facing you and elbows down to sides tucked in... press up keeping elbows at shoulder width apart and twist db out ending with palms as far facing out as possible... Hits all three heads really hard.. use heavy weight and you'll be amazed

Ive found that the push press or standing military press works wonders for shoulders. Another exercise is hang cleans, although mainly a lower body exercise, it also incorporates shoulders as well.

Standing Military Press (or Push Press)
    Hang Cleans
    Upright Rows
    Arnold PResses
Alot of exercises,, front raises but instead of dumbells use a barbell.
    Seated lateral and front raises
Front raises with a 45 lb Plate, holding it with both hands
    Smith Machine Military Press
Another one i like is after the whole shoulder workout is done, do Dips,,, totally emphasizes the front delts.
