    Hit Question

Starting a new HIT routine in 3 weeks. Hopefully it will coincide with the starting of an M1T cycle.

    2 questions:

    1. im currently finishing up a HIT routine in 2 weeks, my gut feeling tells me to switch up the exercises after this 6 week program to avoid my body getting used to it, but im curious to see what plateus i can break through with m1t, what should i do?

    2. if i do choose to switch up my routine, im concerened that i may be overtraining shoulders if i choose to use incline db press for chest and smith machine for shoulders. should i go with flat db press instead????

    any opinions are welcome

to your initial post, why switch up the exercises if they work? personally i think people switch exercises too much when they are working. your body gets used to situations like heavy weight and repitions not the exercises. i know you know that everyone is different, but maybe try experimenting with lightening the weight or doing less or more reps or something of the like. maybe even rotate the order in which you do them. if its not broke dont fix it...but that doesnt mean you can't change the oil and put the pedal to the floor. just my $.02 bro.

well, for me it is too much, but sometimes it still works. For my brother, he makes progress on it pretty continually.

It really depends on what angle you are doing your incline at. If you are using a low angle, which I prefer, then you shouldn't be over training your shoulders; especially if your form is in check.
Also depends on your workout routine. If you do chest, shoulders and triceps on the same day then I wouldn't worry about over training because your working sets will be low enough to avoid it. If you have separate days for shoulders then I would make sure and space it well apart from chest.

If you train front delts/pecs in the same session then probly not IMO.

I dont train shoulders directly right now though. I just do incline BB/DB
