im trying to find out what a compound set is? The way it reads is that it is a move like bench press, followed by lets say decline, without rest, but i thought that was a superset. Im confused.

compound exercises are execises that use more than one joint. bench press, squat, deadlift, etc...
i always begin my workout with at least one heavy compound exercise, then finish up with some lighter isolation exercises
i always try to tear each muscle down with high reps, low reps, fast reps, slow reps, and everything in between.
