I am starting a 6 month periodization plan and hypertrophy is the second phase followed by maximum strength. My question is i have used ironman hit training with great results in regards to hypertrophy but you need to keep the weight heavy to do so. The hypertrophy phase using these periodization methods should be used trying to keep strain on the cns to a minimum and mainly focus on the hypertrophy of muscles. So would using the hit method be counterproductive to my maximm strenght phase that follows which is supposed to be a phase of just manipulating your cns strenght to peak. Also does anyone know any good programs that mainly just train you for strength gains by training your cns with as little hypertrophy as possible. Thanks i know its kind of complicated and different for a question but my goals are not bodybuilding related.
