    Optimal training routine while on gear?

    What do most feel is the optimum training routine to yield the the most "mass" while on gear? This of course assume the diet is proper.

    1) For instance, a 5x5 or HST which use sub maximal weights or training using low reps and heavy weights.

    2) Also, training the muscle 2-3 times a week (high freq, low volume)
    vs 1 time a week (low freq, higher volume).

    Any help would be great. If you have links to other programs/threads that would be great too.

    Expected cycle looks like this.
    Wks 1-10 Test-e 500mg EW (with anti-e)
    Wks 1-5 OT 50-60mg ED
    Wks 9-12 OT 50-60mg ED
    Wks 13-16ish PCT

    is that length of PCT sufficient, and what are you using for it?

    They have some great threads on this site that go through various workout routines that people have tried and like. Do a search and you will find plenty. Anyway, my method of choice is the reverse pyramid scheme. I do this so that I can elicit that maximum muscle strain and recruit the maximum amount of muscle fibers possible. When you pyramid up you are not able to hit the most weight you can on your last set and in turn do not put the maximum stress on your muscles. I tend to do 2-3 warmup sets on my initial exercises...for example, if I am doing bis one day I will do 2-3 warmups on straight bar curl then no other warmups for any other bi exercise because the muscle already has the blood flowing through it. If I do chest then my 2-3 warmups are on flat. Anyway, the warmups are progressive, so 1st set very light for 12 reps, 2nd set still light for 4 reps and then a 3rd set of pretty heavy for 2 reps. Example, my flat bench goes 135 for 12 reps, 225 for 4 reps and 295 for 2 reps, then I start my working sets as follows...315 for 7 reps, 295 for 8 reps, 275 for 10 reps, 275 till failure...I don't ALWAYS do 4 working sets...I do 2 weeks on with 4 working sets and 2 weeks off with 3 working sets. Then I will move to incline...no warmups, 275 for 6, 255 for 8, 245 for 10. All my other exercises follow the same routine...first major exercise for each body part gets 2-3 warmups then I go to 3-4 working sets moving down in weight but up in reps, IF YOU CANNOT INCREASE REPS THEN MAKE SURE YOU GET AT LEAST THE SAME NUMBER OF REPS THAT YOU GOT ON YOUR PREVIOUS SET! I find that this routine has helped me in both the strength and size department and highly recommend it to others! Oh yeah, I do each body part once per week with 3-4 exercises per muscle group!

SINCE GEAR BOOSTS YOUR STRENGTH, IT WOULD BE SILLY NOT TO EXPLOIT THAT BENEFIT..THEREFORE, I RECCOMEND LOW-REP HIGH-INTENSITY (4-8 REPS) WORKOUTS FOR BASIC EXERCISES (BENCH PRESS, SQUAT, DEADLIFT, ETC) AND MEDIUM-REP HIGH INTENSITY (8-10 REPS) WORKOUTS FOR OTHER EXERCISES..ALWAYS USE WEIGHTS THAT ARE HEAVY ENOUGH SO THAT YOU GO TO FAILURE ON YOUR LAST REP

    In my honest opinion i say follow Tai UBERS Training Log.... or HIT which is basically the same to an extent. you'll get some quality mass with that.

    i pack on a lot of mass with HIT while im bulkin.... try it, it takes a while to get into the groove of it as far as knowing what weight to use, but after a week or 2 you'll have it down.. and its killer if you do it right.
