I don't think there's a time in Israel's history where its been in more danger, simply because America won't let it unleash total war. I'm a professional soldier, and my service in Lebanon still effects me. But honestly, how much longer can Israel expect to come under constant attack and not be expected to retaliate in kind?. Indeed, not even in kind, but with a force so strong its enemies should think twice about murdering its citizens again.

I was in work yesterday and looking at the news. It showed families in Israel burying their dead, broken hearted families burying their loved ones. And you know, I was just thinking about it, and this board and how most people here have never seen a war. The burials are happening on both sides of the Israeli/Lebanese border today. But the difference is that the Israeli government are not whipping its people up into a murderous fevor.

Most people here think I'm an Israeli supporter at the expense of its neighbours, nothing could be further from the truth. As much as I support Israel and don't want to see it attacked. I also don't want to see Lebanon and other countries being attacked either, but for crying out loud!. If Mexico or Canada launched 70+ missiles at the USA in one day the USA would knock seven colours of shit out of them.

Hezbollah is just alittle too cocky at the moment. If Israel makes a cross border incursion to go after it like it did the PLO the Hezbollah will be utterly destroyed, and Syria is still wiping its bloody nose after its last conflict with Israel inside Lebanon.

Excellent point. The civilians casualties are going to be high, and that is really sad, but enough is enough. If the Lebanon won't do anything against Hezbollah then Israel must. It's like the world just wants Israel to just sit there and absorb the attacks... which is retarded.

You know another reason I'm pissed at this whole thing.

I spent many, many nights underfire in Lebanon, both from the IDF, Islamic resistance (Hezbollah), Amal and in the early days the PLO. But like many other's I stuck it out, why?. Because I really felt that if UNIFIL could secure Israel's border's that Israel would compile with UN resolutions 425 & 426.

Hundreds of my comrades paid the ultimate price for peace in Lebanon, and eventually Israel withdrew, fully compiling with those UN resolutions. And what happened?, the Hezbollah wouldn't give up the fight. They weren't content with a total Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese soil. Their murderous contempt for Israel and Jew's mean't the hundred's of my comrades who died, died in vain. They died for nothing, today their sacrific mean's absolutely nothing to the Lebanese people because the Lebanese people don't want peace.

I must point out here that its only the christian minority who wants peace in Lebanon, but then I'll be left open to accusations of racial/religious hatred. But its a fact, it wasn't Lebanese christians who voted Hezbollah into power in the Lebanese government, giving them a mandate for terror.

Israel is a very ruthless enemy, people shouldn't ever forget that. Hezbollah and its terror leaders openingly declaring war on Israel have awoken a sleeping monster and I sincerely hope America doesn't step in to stop Israel. Because now I firmly believe is the time for Israel to strike out against her enemies with the full might of the best army in the world.

Israel's enemies have been attacking her under the guise of "terrorism", this was only a ploy to protect the country(s) who were actually responsible for the attacks.
