quad injections, what am i doing wrong here?

i shot test enanthate twice a week for 10 weeks. did all glute shots for like the first 4 weeks. the first few hurt, but then i got used to it, to the point where i had virtually no soreness. but i still wanted to try shooting some other spots. i did about 3 quad shots in this cycle and they all hurt like a bitch. i mean a real bitch. incredible soreness for like 5-6 days. no amount of toughness would have given me a good squat workout during those 5-6 recovery days. im doing prop next and ill be injecting ed. i need to figure out what im doing wrong because im gonna be injecting all over.

are you experienced with quad shots, bc you could possibly be doing them in the wrong spot. check out spot injections.com (take out the space in the middle). what size and gauge needle are you using?

    Or just click on www.siteinjections.com

If you are shoting in the right spot then you can try mixing some sterile oil or b12

But if you tuff it out you should start to get used to it as time goes by

Follow the advice above, and if your inject sites are accurate, it sounds less like human error and more like a simple case of Virgin Muscle Syndrome. Both your muscles and brain aren’t accustomed to having cc’s injected and need to accommodate this both spatially and tolerance-wise respectively. You already cited a similar experience with glutes, so consider this phase II.

Good advice above, but keep in mind, some people just can't deal with quad shots. They get too much pain from them.

That particular problem is usually gear specific. For example, shooting Prop in quads is an exercise in torture.

All too true magic. Prop in quads=lots and lots of pain. But then again, I like pain.

I just did the same thing last week. It was bad enough to the point that i couldn't work out and couldn't walk. it was really bad. I injected correctly as well. This weekend i did the same injections in my shoulder. Eventhough the shoulder hurt a little, it hurt a LOT less and feels good. same amount of each shot (one cc of test in one shoulder and one cc of eq in the other) Some people will just be overly sensitive to quad injections. i would stop doing those if it doens't get better.

Oh come on. You guys are sissies. Embrace the pain!!! LOL! J/K. Yeah, if the quad injections hurt to the point where they affect your workouts, then skip quads and do shoulders and glutes. You can do bis ,tris and pecs if your brave enough to, but for the most part, delts and glutes are fine.

Never had a problem with quad shots (too bad), but i hear prop is down right evil when it comes to injecting and hurts like no other....i'm missin out here

Depends on the prop you use.. the first quad shot i've done a while back hurted like a mule kicked me in the quad for 5-6 days. but after the seccond injection the pain only lasted one day and wasn't all that bad.
Nowadays quads and delts are the only sites i inject myself.

Prop is especially painful if a high BA (more than 4%) and BB content (more than 20%) was used during "manufacturing".

change it up, i used to do thigh and would have problems with nerves. move the needle over more and see if that helps. also don't be affraid of hitting tris, biceps and shoulders, my favorite, it also helps stretch the muscle so you look alittle bigger. i use test suspension so i have to find a new spot each day. i wouldn't suggest traps though, tried that once with suspension and couldn't move my whole arm for about 4 days. experiment alittle but just be safe.

You shot into your traps before?! That's crazy. I dunno about that, cuz traps are way to close to your neck. Now that's scary.

    Thumbs up Trap shots

I'm on my first cycle, been working out for 25 years...I experimented with the trap injections and it is now one of my favorites spots.
I have a lot of size there so I think that's the determing factor.

Did I read that right? 25 years? Anyways, if trap spot injections are your thing then whatever floats your boat, right? Don't you get soreness in your neck the day after your injections since traps are right next to your neck?

hey giant killer, i did a quad shot with just b 12 one time and it hurt for 5 days and it was a fluke thing cuz i had done many before that. Somestime you cant account for it. like the virgin muscle theory might be true, even if you have shot many times because think about it: even if you shoot quads regularly, what are the chances you are hitting the exact same square centameter of muscle? Not much, unless you can still see the injection mark from last week.but even still your angle will be slightly different therefore ending up most likely in a sligghtly different spot. So it could still be like injecting into knew muscle. technically.

Maybe you injected the oil too fast. moved the needle? were you relaxed?

Yea, 25 years...I'm 46 years old just getting off my first cycle and I feel awsome. I'll be posting before and after pics soon.

I get more soreness in my glutes than my traps, don't know why.

I would'nt suggest the trap shots for anyone w/o any size there....it has worked for me.
