    Umbilical Hernia

Guys I am posting this here because it will get more traffic. Feel free to move it if you want.

I was in getting my Prostate checked yesterday and when I was laying on my back the Doc looked at my belly button and told me I had a Hernia. Small, but still needs repair. Has anyone had one done ? How long are you out of the gym for ?

Damn kale he could tell just by looking at your belly button? I don't know how long you will be out for but i know you can't do any heavy lifting for a while or you can get even more screwed up. Hope all works out for you! Be well!!

Yeah he could tell just from looking, then he stuck his finder in there and made me cough and he felt the serparation. It basically makes the bellie button from an "inie" to an "outie" My wife said she had noticed it but thought it was just from my lifting, little did she know. I am looking at surgery where they put mesh over it rather than sow it back together. Its the latest thing apparently and has a much shorter recovery time

I had one about 2 years ago. Depending on the severity you could be looking at about 4-6 weeks. Mine wasn't to bad, I was healed in 2 1/2 weeks and back in the gym in 3 1/2. Just make sure your completely healed or you could do more serious damage.

    Good Luck, recover quick!
