Hey guys this may be old hat to you, but yesterday I did something and my chest is really sore today and I wanted your opinions. I usually do a heavy flat dumbbell press for my chest. I was realizing my arms were tired way before my chest and my chest wasn't getting enough work. I truely wasn't failing like I needed to. So yesterday I did some push ups for pre-exhaust and then I got on the bench. I unhooked the power hooks came into position slowly pushed up and turned my hands where the dumbbells were up and down. I then out of no where went into a butterfly about half way due to the weight held it, and then slowly I came back into top position and went down slowly turning my hands back in a press position by my shoulders. I gotta say this killed my chest it was on fire quick. It cut my reps in half, I mean boom failure and a panic hook back on the bar! This morning my chest is nice and sore. Do any of you guys do this and could I be on to something I didn't realize in my own workouts for my chest?
Any opinions would be appreciated.
