    Decided to compete.

Where can I find a list of competitions for 2007? I really would like to find one in late summer so I can pre-contest in the summer and not in college, because i dunno if I can handle it while in school. I am currently 215 lbs, and around 15% bf. I think I would like to start 16 weeks out, and run a cycle of Test E/Prop and Winny up to the show. What do you think? I would love to step on stage to know im not doing all this work for nothing. Thanks

hey SVT i was thinkin of doin a show too. i'm also worried about prep during school, i know for dam sure i wouldnt be able to handle it mentally along with school. anyways i looked hard for contest schedules in 2007. last year the 2006 schedule didnt come out until like 2006 for NPC. i dont know which federation you want to compete in but thats what i know for the NPC.

you can pass a natty show trust me, although most competitors are natty in natty shows im sure you can get away with it. i beleive its WNBF.net for natty shows and NPC.org

    That's good bro.
The point being, you'd have an unfair advantage "if" the others are truly natural. At least in NPC events if you are using, everyone is on an even playing feild.

I'm totally the opposite. I have an EASIER time dieting in the summer because the heat kills my appetite It's easier to eat more frequently in school (I eat in class...), but I get hungrier, and that's tougher to deal with.

I'll saftly tell you that you will go in as a middle weight at 176 lbs. My first competition I was 230lbs at 14% BF and came down to 176.lbs. you have to be realistic bro. your 215lbs. lets say you come down to 5% BF. thats loosing 21.5 lbs of fat, leaving you at 194lbs. Then drop 10 lbs of water, leaving you at 184 lbs. now minus the amount of muscle you will loose. I say you will come in around 176 lbs. which is not bad. DO NOT EXPECT TO GROW ANY MUSCLE WHILE DIETING DOWN PERIOD.

yeah man good call, i cant picture myself at a little 180 lbs! I honestly dont think I wanna be that thin though..

  27. #27
Be that thin? Well you said you wanna compete thats what will happen. Like I said above..190 is not realistic unless you gain a WHOLE lot of muscle and lose a whole lot of fat simultaneously. Just bein realistic.

I started my prep 16wks out at 253-255lbs (15-17% BF) and weighed in the morning of the show at 207lbs (around 4-5%BF). Of course I was 220 the next morning though

BTW, I am 6'1"...the leaner you are...the bigger you look. It's all about the illusion bro.

I once though i would compete at 175 ripped...i started at about 200 and dieted close to a year. my final weight was 154 shredded to the bone. One year later i competed at 162 and that was a huge gain for going natural. dont worry about your weight...focus on your conditioning right now because that is what judges look for first.

Everyone making great points about competing weight..I remember weeks before my show I thought I was going to compete at upper 190's..Well I was 196 pounds 6 days out..I end up weighting in friday before the show at 189. Like Mrmention told me, you end up weighting in 10 pounds lighter then you think you going to compete at..So you say you wanna compete at 190 so you'll end up 180 or lil lighter..Don't worry about the weight bro. Just get shredded.
