The truth about Electrolysis if it is done correctly, is that it DESTROYS an individual hair follicle. It does not "weaken it" slowly, it destroys it completely if done by someone that knows what they are doing. The reason that hair grows back is that at any time, you only are seeing roughly half of your body hair. These are known as the telogen hairs. The other half of your hair is in a resting stage, so when you get your chest cleared of hair and see new hairs come out in a couple of weeks, those are different hairs that were resting. It takes roughly three full times for a good electrologist to remove all of your chest hair and then it never will come back. The only advice I could give you is go to one of the few MALE electrologists, because females are way too scared to use the current necessary to really kill the root. When you leave the electrologist, you should have whiteheads and painful bumps all over your chest. Male hair is rough and coarse and it takes A LOT of current to kill the root. Women would just be too scared and say its overtreating you. There are only 2 males I know who do electrolysis and they can even remove beards for guys that want to become women! It is REALLY painful but when its over.....ITS OVER!!!! No more hair, shaving, waxing or anything else. Electrolysis is the ONLY way....but it's really important who you go to.
