    Too much for my biceps????

Currently I'm working my biceps out on Tuesday with back and am wondering if it would be allright to hit them again on Saturday by themselves? I know biceps aren't a large muscle so thought this would be ok or maybe every other week do this? input and opinions please???

hmm...think they will be fine with a back day

think, back is primary, bicep secondary...then ur working ur bicep afterwards which becomes primary....

they get a pretty good workout, that how i do my biceps.

so u seem to be off good IMO without the saturday

just lower the amount you work them if you are going to work them alone. if you have enough time to recover from the damage you did on saturday or tuesday, you should be fine.

I've got to where I do my biceps alone, I used to do them with back and got impressive results.

Pretty much my typical routine now:

    Chest/Tri's
    Bi's/Abs
    Shoulders/Back
    Legs/Abs

it can be done.build up your volume slowly and switch it up, try it in waves, 3 wks of double bi workouts, 3 wks of single bi workouts per wk, 3 wks of double bi workouts etc etc

depends on your recovery.. is your goal to add weight, or reps with each workout?? or do you coast at a weight for weeks on end.. ??

I try to go up a couple pounds with each workout or increase my reps slightly. Last week I worked my bis on Tuesday with back and again on Saturday, they were sore from the Saturday workout until Monday just not positive if they had recovered by Tuesday

Personally i don't agree with the hitting your bi's/tri's first in the week...Biggest muscle groups should be hit first in the week, followed by the smaller, lower volume ones...Personally I like to do quads first in the week, it ensures that I get em done, it creates super high test levels, and puts ur body in a very anabolic state for the rest of the week!

I've Got a couple....When I'm bulking it looks like this....

    1:Quads
    2:Hammy/Calves
    off
    3:Chest/Back
    4: Shoulders,Bi's,Tri's

I'm doing contest prep right now, so I'm trying to get more isolation so I split up my chest/back

    1:Quads
    2:Back
    3:Chest
    off
4:Hammy/Calve (I move this to here because it gives my delts time to rest seeing as I'm isolating back and Chest)
    5:Shoulders,Bi's,Tri's

maybe i am weird but i always keep quads and hams together.
also i do back and chest alone or with bis and tris something like this
    chest/ tri
    legs
    back/ bis
    shoulders traps

    or
Undecided what do you think of that with your bigger muscle theory
    chest
    legs
    back
    shoulders traps
    bis/tris

I like your second one better...Except like this

    Legs
    Chest
    Back
    Off
    Shoulders/traps
    Bi's/Tri's

that could prove to be really beneficial!!!

ALSO, your not weird for doing hammies and quads together...

However on a personal note, I was throwing up every leg day for 3-4 weeks of my new routine, and I said F-this, there's no way I could go through that hell, then try and do hammy's and calves...Thats when I decided to do em on their own day...

My quad day is as follows....

Machine hack Squat: sets=8,6,4,6,4-->dropset, 50% of weight for 30 reps

Leg Press Superset with Leg Ext: 6 Sets 8-10 reps...

Give that a go and then see how much you wanna do the rest of your legs, haha....

Its also important to remember what your going for too...Since I've been into bodybuilding lately I've needed to treat each muscle group as its own entity...if I were lifting just to be in good shape I would do legs all in one day, just less intense and less specific...

im really liking that i am going to hit that up next week.
looks like a good leg workout but where are the squats, i usually do a workout similar to yates style a light set of 15 warmup then 8-10 then super heavy for about 4 reps then a couple of forced reps.

Machine hack Squat: sets=8,6,4,6,4-->dropset, 50% of weight for 30 reps

5th set is for 30reps huh

sort of, you do that 5th set of 4, then immediately strip 50% of that weight off for 30 reps...And i almost forgot 6 inch stance!!! Good luck, you'll need it, hahah...and the squats I'm not doing right now, they hit a different part of the quad that I'm not going for at the moment, also its good to switch it up, like after a while I'll toss out the Leg press and hack Squat and do something like this

    Squats 8,6,4,6,4-->drop set of 30

Lateral Step ups superset with d-bell Lunges: 5 sets 8-10 reps...

haha, Let me know what you think of that leg day, I can't get anyone else to try it, they are scared, haha...The first time I did it, it was the hardest thing I've ever done, lemme know...Also those leg presses are hip-width, duck stance, meaning toes are pointed outwards...Get at it!

Why would you do bi's and tri's the day after back and chest?

Well those aren't the days of the week, just the days of the routine, that day off was a typo...you wouldn't do that!
