    Splitting up the LEGS?

    Anyone train legs on seperate days? How has it worked? I was thinking about:



    tuesday
    HAMS
    seated curls 3 x 6 to 10
    lying curls 3 x 8 to 12
    stiff dead*heavy with barbell) 3 x 6 to 10
    CALF
    standing raises
    4 x 6 to 10
    seated raises 4 x 15 to 20
    ABS
    haning leg raises
    cybex runch 3 x 15 to 20 each



    saturday
    QUADS
    leg press 3 x 6 to 10
    hack squat 3 x 6 to 10
    squat 2 x 15 to 20
    CALF
    seated 4 x 6 to 10
    standing 4 x 15 to 20
    AB
    hanging leg reaises
    cybex crunches 3 x 15 to 20 each.

    I have split my legs before. I think its good to have a change around for a while. Then when you get used to it change again!!

    Is the above a decent routine? Just worried it may be too weak........thoughts? Do u include squats in every leg rotuine?

    I would have a t least 4 sets of squats on quad day preferably 5,6 sets. My Quads have to be fried after workout to get decent growth. Other than that it looks pretty good just keep the weights progressive each week.

    Knees Really Bother Me Cause Im So Weak And Fragile At 160lbs.....shld I Skip Them, Go Light And Build Up Strength Or Do Hacks (more Of Them) Until My Size Comes Back?

    thanks bro...I'll prob. hit the 5x5 all major lifts today, quads tomorrow and hammys sun....ORRRR the hammys today

    I like that idea, I do it myself, but do quads very first thing in the week...Legs produce the highest test levels of any workout you can do, setting the stage for a very anabolic week! Always do your biggest muscles first!

    Quads (first thing in the week):

    Machine Hack Squat, sets=8,6,4,6,4 dropset on last set of 4 50% of weight for 30 reps

    Leg Press Superset with Leg Ext: 6 sets, 8-10 reps


    Hams/Calves (either the next day, or later in the week to give some separation between muscle groups):

    Semi-stiff D-bell Deads, 6 sets 8-10 reps

    Lying single leg hammy curl, 6 sets 4-6 reps

    Standing calf raises, 8 sets 6-10 reps


    There you go...
