it depends from person to person but I dont do it.... If I feel I need to workout a lagging body part, I focus on it more on the SAME day or add more compound exercises to hit multiple muscles along with the isolated ones
im starting soon. just lighten teh amount of work done each time you work the muscle group and give yourself enough time to recover, and you shouldn't have a problem. leave the one-day-a-week stuff for the genetic elite, and the already very large.
It's the way i trained when i was making the best gains of my life.
Twice per week = gold

I do most once a week except biceps which i split into twice a week but no more work than if i were to hit them once. However, not seeing great gains with the once a week and am considering the twice a week approach.Originally Posted by got juice man

Training the same muscle twice a week i allways get the best gains from as long as i dont go till failer on my last rep

Yeah i do each muscle basically once a week and seems to be working pretty good but im gonna try it twice a week here pretty soon.
what do u think about hitting tris with chest? and bis with back the next day?
i always do tris with chest....back with bi's was getting a bit much when i did them only once a week but i do back once and bi's twice a week so i can add to that bicep pump i'm already getting on back day.Originally Posted by violator1
