I live pretty close to Venice Beach and there are a lot of Sports Nutrition stores so I checked one out today that I hadn't been to before. I went in just to pick up an affordable protein powder and this aggressive bastard behind the counter says "NO...no...let me design a program for you..hang on". The guy starts running all over the store grabbing bottles of aminos, digestive enzymes, egg whites, Creatine and about 5 other bottles....literally. Keep in mind that he looked like NOTHING, no muscle and I am 210 lbs and very lean yet this jerk felt the need to peddle half the damn store on me. Then he plops down two separate "testosterone boosters" , both with the exact same ingredients and finally throws down a bottle that he says will "optimize my pituitary-hypothalymus axis". Hardee-har-har. He then told me that he has "MANY" Olympia and National level competitors that exclusively use what he recommended to me. I have nothing against supplements, but I told the guy straight out that this kind of hard sell isn't for me and I left the store. I can't stand bastards like that. Most people that lift and go into a health food store have an idea of what they want and don't need some supplement pusher giving them a bunch of nonsense. And these supplement "gurus" always seem to be built like nothing. It just annoyed me. Sorry for the long note but it put a crimp in my day.
