isnt it bad to lock out your knees like that??
Most people do lock their knees as a "rest." I use to always lock out without a problem but been training myself to keep going which makes the squat harder. When i get towards the last few reps i do lock to catch my breath.

no paticular reason i just dont though.
yeh for some reason when i was young all my brothers (who are animals) use to scream at me for doing it when we use to lift together. that was like the one thing i realized i shouldnt do when i first started lifting. whether or not its really that important is another story, but i just cant lock my knees out now and days without hearing my brothers voices. btw, they are all massively bigger than me.Originally Posted by collar
