    chrons

    Hi
Ok, this is my 1st post and this is hugely important to me.
I have chrons. Have for 3 yrs. Was told it's "asymphatetic". I probarly have the mildest form. Recently had to stop eating potatoes, apples . I don't eat heavy pasta ( filled raviolla etc seems ok though). So I have a restricted diet ( self imposed).
I injured my right shoulder 2 yrs ago. Posterior deltoid area, in deep. Got a steroid injection (not cortison) by a doc into area last year as it got unbearable.
My new doc (different part of country) says I should try anti-inflammatry patches (!). I think she is wrong. I plan on getting an x-ray in the next few weeks of it. She did say it was "carpillitis" ( spelling not good), and further explained in was an injured tendon ( which I believe). I will continue exercising, will follow the band ones on another tread here. Have tried stretching/ developmentle stuff/ floor work/ acupunture/ hot & cold treatment. But Swimming/ front crawll seems best.
    Any advice?

I am fed up being out of shape, have been since my last (basic) cycle 2 yrs ago. I have decided to move on, and hopefully the shoulder will come along.

The moving on bit has been complicated by the chrons (and lack of knowledge from everyone I have seen in my treatment). I was given Prednisolone and some other steroid. Slightly weird (dreams) side effects. I ended up just self proscribing because I didn't beleive my consultants team/ doc had a great handle on me. And felt the Prednisolone etc was not strong enought in the right way.
It worked, my doc was suprised at my good health.
    Then shoulder got spent.
So after two years making excuses-
I have come to the conclusion that I need to get back into shape again. Even if my system seems to have taken a dislike to potatoes and apples lately.

If anyone has a similar story/ advice lives remotely near Cork,I would really welcome it.
    Thanks
( hope the smillie doesn't offend anyone)

Sorry to tell you bro but Prednisolone and similiar cortisone steroids are prescribed to offset the inflamation that is caused by your disease. These steroids are the exact opposite of anabolic steroids. Failure to follow your doctor's advice could allow your disease to progress and even become fatal. I'm not trying to scare you, because most live long near normal lives with proper medical intervention.
