Prilosec and weight gain?

has anyone heard or experiences weight gain resulting from the use of Prilosec or simiar drugs?

i have been on some form of these drugs for 5 years now. ever since i began taking them i have put on 15 or 20 pounds that won't go away. this may be a result of a slowing metabolism (i'm 33 now)... but i'm thinking that when you take a drug that alters the way your stomach digests foods (suppressing the acid production) it has GOT to have an effect on how your body processes the food as well as where it's stored, etc.

any thoughts?

i was on nexium and had to temporarily switch to prilosec and with prilo i STAY bloated not sure about the fat gain as my weight stays the same except for now im on cycle and bulking. when i first went from prilo to nexium i immediately noticed that the bloat went away.
