How do you define a bodybuilder? Or yourself as one?
How do you define a bodybuilder? Or yourself as one?
I believe anyone that works out is a body builder, but everybody just looks at the HUGE guys as BodyBuilders. I look at them as Body Architects...just not builders!

IMO its someone who deidicates their life to improving their body physically..even a tennis play can be a bodybuilder.. the defrees just vary from person to person
i type worse than gsxxr![]()
someone who takes pride/time/dedication to improving themselves physically
just look at my pics and you will have your answer....LOLOLOL
i like that definition.......but you also must have the drive to become big.......improve is a little vague....could mean skinnier too......Originally Posted by audis4

not sure if that definition is any better.
If someone is getting skinnier, they are still building!Originally Posted by RuhlFreak55

hmm I wont refer to myself as a "bodybuilder" until I gain another 10-15lbs of LBM![]()
Someone who weight trains to gain weight and shape, and who also looks after his/her waistline!!![]()

tell people i just "work out"
we have one of these threads every 2 weeks.
but i think of myself as a bodybuilder, i dedicate everything to it.
Everyone who works out and trys to better there appearence is a bodybuilder IMO.
A competitive bodybuilder is obviously someone who competes in bodybuilding comps.
someone who actively builds their body
a weight lifter that knows how to diet
Anything with body and building
If Im building the body of a car, Im a freaking bodybuilder!
Me doing heroine, builds up heroine in my body, well Ill be damned!, Im a bodybuilder.
lol exactly. Ppl r always like "do u play fball"Originally Posted by Bojangles69
im like nah i just like workin out..no reason
I think of it as more than just staying in shape and trying to be thin or what not.
It's taking what god gave you, and enhancing it everyway way shape and direction possible. Giving up things to make yourself something better than what is meant to be.
true! i dont fit in this categoryOriginally Posted by Haro3
To me bodybuilding is a life style.
Alot of athletes or high school kids weight train, but a bodybuilder lives the lifestyle (proper rest, proper nutrition, etc).
I think that depicts the difference between a weighlifter and a bodybuilder. Although I try to follow a high calorie diet, I do not consider myself a bodybuilder.
Thats a good way to put itOriginally Posted by D3m3nt3d
Yup same here....and I'm pretty big and cut.....I still say I just lift weights - I would feel like a dumba$$ if I called myself a bbOriginally Posted by Bojangles69
