Lexapro make you really tired?

Lexapro increases serotonin levels and serotonin is a neurotransmitter which promotes relaxation...Some people are more sensitive to that side effect than others..I was on 10mgs a day for over a year and never felt tired from it...and I took it in the morning cause my doc never told me it makes some people tired.....however this chick I used to work with said everytime she took a half of one she'd get exausted and have to lay down....so if it makes you tired simply take it at night and you're good

Yea i was on lexapro, and it made me too tired. I would take it a nite yet i would wake up and be all drowsy and sleepy all day. I had to discontinue it. I guess everyone handles it different.

Is lexapro like celexa??I thought celexa was makeing me tired..

Yeah it made me tired to. I also had zero sensation (almost a numb feeling) with my jimmy while on it. I was on it for 3 months, two weeks after I stopped the sides went away.

I'm on 30mg a day and for about 3 months I couldn't function. Now it seems to have leveled off.
