Question How to treat an Infection cause by an Injection

So a buddy of mine decided to brew his own gear and now thinks he has an infection. Its been 3 days and his ass is swollen and black and blue at the inection site. I told him its probably his high concentration gear (eq400mg/ml), or that he shot it to fast.

Anyway he says he doesnt have insurance but showed me his stockpile of ANTIBIOTICS. Which include, Amox. Cipro, and levaquin. He told me 4 days is long enough for him and wants to start a course.

Has anyone used any of these to treat an infection cause by an injection???

    thanks

A walk in clinic isn't that much, they'll get him squared away with little effort. I would highly suggest this course however in the advent this option isn't avaliable I'd take 200mg of the Amoxacillan with each meal.

I AM NOT A DOCTOR............so hopefully a MD bro might drop in on the thread.

ok he might have broken a blood vessel or hit a vein... thats why its black and blue ( like a bruise )... normally an infection is red and hot to the touch...

I have left a few bruises and had a few shots that hurt for a few days...

but I keep 3 injections of Penicillin from mexico on hand and a gew bottles of ampacillin, amoxycillin and such...

antibiotics are what a doctor would give for an infection... unless its a bad abscess... then they have to cut it open and drain it...

I've heard Lymecyline used to teat acne (One of the Tetracycline familly) can be used at double the dose, when treating acne, to treat infections such as this. My doctor has also prescribed Flucloxcillin to treat an infection.

Good call bro..........it might not be an infection at all.

What's the word on Dan's observations on an infection bro? Is it hot to the touch and red?

he dropped his pants and i could see the black and blue even through the carpet pasted to his ass. I told him to give it another day today was the 4th day since he shot it. he was also shooting a highly concentrated drug maybe it irratated him. he said hes gonna bear it out, and tom start cipro 500mgs every 12h for 7-10days.

He was embarressed to go to the student center bc he didnt want them to know he was juicing so I went for him the practitioner nurse was like "hmmmm you dont look like you use steriods" I wanted to be like yeah thanks bitch now tell me how to take them.

I had a bad reaction the first two injections I ever did in my glutes ( i didnt hit them again for another 3 cycles, just because of it) I don't think it was an infection, but both sites got a 5 inch wide lump that turned black and blue, very very firm, tender, and warm. I think it was a reaction either to the BA in the gear (although this was true Pharm gear) or because I missed the muscle in my kinda chunky ass and ended up injecting some fatty tissue.. It went away 90% in about 2 1/2 weeks... then left a slight bruise looking mark for another 4 or so.. I hear similar stories alot, but never quite the same, and never the same supposed cause.
I am pretty sure though, that it wasnt an abcess.
