    Semi paleo so far

Well I have been eating a semi paleo diet now since the 4th september. I am no stranger to low carb diets so its not something new. What is new is that I am not trying to cut on this kind of diet.

What I eat everytime is basicly this

5dl of yoghurt with some frozen berries and whey and a handfull of nuts.

4 fried eggs and 2 burgers or 2 sausages or some bacon.

A big sallad and some beef, pork or chicken. Or a stew or chili.

some more nuts and another serving of meat or another shake.

2-3 fruits spread over the day

It turns out to be around
    2100-2500kcal, 170-200g protein, 50-70g carbs, 100-130g fat.

I feel no lethargy at all. Quite the opposit I always feel more energetic on low carbs. I dont know if my weight is going up or down since I havent been on the scale for 3 weeks. I like eating this way. It satisfie my appetite a whole lot better than if i eat meals with rice, pasta and potatoes. Those 3 things always makes me crave much more. Eating this way Im not as hungry all the time, when I eat carb rich meals I am craving food ALL the time.

Im only eating 4 meals a day since they are pretty calorie dense and because I dont need more anyway right now.

I dont know why but I always get sluggish by carbs(even low gi) and feel more fresh and energetic on low carb diets. My body just doesnt need all those carbs and all they do is make me fat a shame though because I love pasta and potatoes.

I have only been eating like this for something like 3 weeks and Im not cutting now so not expecting any weight loss. I have very slow metabolism so I dont lose any weight if I eat around 2500kcal/day
I havent noticed any weight loss either except offcourse losing some water weight. Im going to se how this effects my body composition in the long run. Like if its easier for me to keep fat away eating like this year round instead of eating carbs like I usualy do. I always overeat and turn fat if I do not keep a nazi strickt diet regime if I eat plenty of carbs.

But when I cut I always do very low carbs and I always lose more fat the more I restrict my carbs.

2-3 pieces of fruit.. and Yogurat.. actually that seems about right..

5dl is 5 deciliters=half a liter. one gallon is like 3.7 liters so 5dl would be 0.13 gallons or 17 ounces(I hate the system you guys use over there).

I have a full cheat day once every weekend year round, doesnt matter if Im cutting or bulking. But I dont do it to carbload or anything like that.
I just do it because I enjoy eating so damn much that I need it for my sanity.

the carbs from the yoghurt is around 20-25g, one piece of fruit is around 15-20g carbs depending on fruit.

Do you find that you are sluggish if you consume something like a banana or more oats/potatos/pasta?
I eat between 450-500g carbs per day and I have tons of energy but when I was a fat ass last year, I would eat at like the olive garden (big pasta dish) and fall asleep not even an hour later...weird.

There's your answer bro...the GI and slin response is pretty crazy.

Ya, I didn't think about the GI difference between white/ww pasta. Good call bro!

Johan, glad to hear i'm not the only looney bird around these neck of the woods following a paleo diet (with a splash of evolutionary fitness thrown in!).
Best advice is give it time bro. I've been eating like a modern day hunter-gather for about 9 months now and absolutely love it. Nutrient dense, low glycemic load, n-3/n-6 ballanced fatty acid meals is without a doubt the way to go. I know it is hard to believe but when you look at the health of hunter gatherers it is better than anything we have seen. It is such a simple answer it seems repellant. In a nutshell, it is just to hard to argue with the facts surrounding the paleo protocol. It is the only experiment which I can think of that is backed by the 3 million year history of our human and prehuman ancestors. Evolution via natural selection. It's how we were designed to eat.
As people started eating wheat and rice and beans and millet and corn, etc. from the fossil record we have, they got shorter, fatter, and generally less fit.
Well, let me digress now as I can go on and on about this subject.
Again give it time and don't forget to increase your fat intake as you drop percentage points. Keep us updated.
