Dymatize Whey quality control problem

Recently some of you may have noticed some batches of Dymatize Elite Whey having a bad chemical type smell and taste. I have written to Dymatize UK who confirmed there is a problem. I have been informed some of the batches have made it to the US too. Here is a copy of the email I have recieved. They have agreed to replace my whey as long as they are 90% full still.

"Can you please provide details of where you purchased you Elite Whey from as well as batch and expiry details. We have recently had a few issues with non US produced product making it's way into the UK. We are the official UK distributors and only purchase US manufactured product. Once I have details from you I will investigate. We have had 3 or 4 complaints already so rest assured we are working hard to make sure this problem is put right."

wow, that might be a problem if I took whey protein

Who knows what they're putting in some of this stuff, there is no one overlooking it or putting regulations on it from what I know.

thats definitely good to know as a lot of us utilize whey. granted its not ideal, but it definitely serves a purpose for myself. do you know when the batches are suppossed to be "normal" again? because that's the only powder i use.

these are non US batches which to be honest you are unlikely to get over there unless your buying off ebay. You will know if the whey is bad as it smells V strongly of disinfectant/dettol. Dymatize is usually V good, I love it. Just hope I dont get anymore bad ones as its a pain sending them back

Sent my two tubs back and it was confirmed they were not right. Dymatize kindly sent two new tubs out +1 tub free of charge. All new tubs taste and smell fine.
