that's definitely a possibility. But it gives you an in to start talking and get her to like you. Only a few times i didn't hook up with the girl if i started talking to her. Honestly i enjoy just flirting with girls. So if i sit and BS with her for the night and that's it who cares. If i spent a few $$ on drinks and had a good time that's fine.

women are complicated though. its like if you over do it, shel reject you. if you dont make a move, shel take that as a rejection, and go find some one else.

I'm married now, but back in the single days I would try to talk about ANYTHING but bodybuilding. I used to hate it when the girl would start talking about the way I looked, it's flattering but at the same time there is much more to a person than the way they look. Also, I used to hate talking about life like the other person was expected to have it all planned out or somebody wasnt interested. If I could go back in time, my conversations would have been alot shorter and I wouldnt have tried so hard. "Yep, I'm a broke firefighter, and you?"
