    Deads the first thing that came to my mind. Wide grip pullups for width and rows for thickness

    weighted wide grip pullups.

    then finish off with burning out on rows.

    Rows= #1 base exercise
    Deads= #1 supplementary exercise
    Chins= #2 supplementary exercise

    Most times..that's all i do in a workout.

    I do..

    4x8-12 reps Wide grip pull downs
    Narrow grip pull downs
    Seated rows
    Deads

    all with heavy weight.. the real trick in getting the weight up is to use hooks or straps, this will allow you to use the larger muscles of your back rather than stopping when you have failure in the smaller muscles of your grip..

    I've done most of the exercises mentioned in the past...it's me trynna find a good combo. You guys usually go for four exercises on back day or three? That's excluding traps by the way. I usually train traps seperately believe it or not.
