    pushups and crunches every day?

So I have always ended my chest workouts blowing out pushups, and I typically do abs, well when I was in shape and did them, 3 days a week. The last 2 weeks I've been hitting 200 pushups a day, no real numbered sets or whatever, just making sure I hit 200, usually 30-50 per go at it. And the crunches 100 at a time, always hitting 500 before i go to sleep. Gotta tell ya, things feel tighter and stronger. Wondering if any of you guys out there do pushups and crunches every day. Just wondering.

i do abs every morning but not pushups. interesting idea though, if you are in really good shape pushups really wont work the muscle to hard but it will pump a lot of blood in it so it might be benificial. i would like to hear some other opinions on this.

I have read in more than one place that pushups should be a staple of your workout, namely because it is such a natural (and compund) movement. I am also curious about this.

I don't do the pushups, but i shoud. I do 500-600 crunchers every day though, and i noticed a massive imporvement. then i quit loool. So i actually jsut started with teh 500 a day last week and am already noticing the differnce again. I love it. I can only do sets of 50 so i do 10 of them, and it gets boring, that's why i stopped last time.
But i did notice, it would get the upper abs ripped, but it takes a long time to start defining the lower part. And then i hit abs up with weights at least once a week.
keep it up, and i might start throwing in those push ups, see what happens
