Hair Sample Drug Test for the NYPD...help!

I just got a letter in the mail to appear this Tuesday Oct 17th.2006 for a drug test, process my information & get fingerprinted for the NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT.I did a Dbol,Decca,Test Cycle May-July 2006.Now two of my close friends are cops they said dont even bother going in im screwed .But they dont really know about Anabolics.I dont wanna take the test and dick myself for every city/state job (that shit will stay on my record)What do you guys think about a hair sample test????? and the anabolics ive used??????

p.s.- Another one of my friends is in the academy right now and said 4 guys were just fired from his class, two for testing positive for roids.

I had a friend was due to have one of these tests. He did a little research and found the test look at a piece of hair. The hair holds information about substances that have been ingested (not just drugs but all sorts of things) along its length. The test can even tell when the substances were ingested based on where they are along the hairs length. This can all be solved by shaving the head. All information is lost and the fresh growth will have only fresh info on it. So shave and stay off AS then provide hair sample in a month or so.

Go in for the test. You'll be fine. I can tell you that with 100% confidence because I work in the drug testing industry and I even know what laboratory NYPD contracts with. The drugs that your hair will be tested for are
Cocaine
Opiates
PCP
Amphetamines
THC (marijuana)

If your friend is correct and people are being fired for AAS use (which i doubt), the tests were absolutely not from hair samples.

By the way guys, if you shave your head to avoid a hair test, you better shave your entire body because they can use body hair too. They can also use finger nail clippings.

But like he said his 4 got kicked out for testing for roids. Don't go in you'll be screwed. But i do believe not reporting to the testing site counts as a positive test....at least it does in the NCAA...may want to look into that

i really dont think they test for roids. i think your friends lied to u about the reason they got fired. i heard they will take your armpit hair. dont sweat it. if u get fired u get fired. i remember going through the process for nypd and i dont remember any questions about did u ever try roids? just keep lying and denying. good luck.

My buddy had to go to one of these tests to become a BMW mechanic... but all he did was smoke weed... he bought a special shampoo for 45.00 that he had to leave in for 40 minutes and I guess it worked because he got hired. Since it's Wednesday October 18, I guess it's too late for you....

However you could bleach your hair .... then re-dye it if you want.

He's right, this is the solution to your problem. Only he took it too far, as expressed above clean shaven is way to obvious, but a crew cut leaving an inch on top would work. It might not put you above reproof, but this cut is an accepted style in your profession.

You see normal hair growth occurs at a typical rate of 1/3 to 1/2 inch per month. Granted, many factors can affect this growth rate including warm weather, blood circulation and nutrition to name a few, but your most pressing issue will be the phase of growth your hair was in during and directly following aas usage. This could prove pivotal since you're working with such a short period of time in three months (mid-July to mid-Oct.). But it's definitely worth a shot. Oh and if you pass I'll expect the first succeeding paycheck.

Barring fine hairs thought the body (not typically selected) shave the pits, knuckles and toes, then chalk it up to bb'ing. It's not likely the ears or nose will come into play, and if they motion towards the nether region draw your weapon.
