its not impossible to make a a DSM quick. its alot better to make a muscle car fast though not a matchbox car from 2 Fast 2 Furious

And there is mustangs out there that will bet sheps car. You can make anything fast with enough cash.

I had a 10.40 mustang i used to drive everyday. The only thing i would do was put on slicks at the track. Most 10 sec imports you cant drive everyday

.. i simply said it would beat "that" mustang... the one in the picture. Most 10 sec imports you can't drive everyday? Hmm, there are a ton of supras, dsm's, evo's etc.. that are in the 10's and daily driven. All it takes is a nice turbo setup with the supporting mods and you have yourself 10's.. but getting into the 9's is another story.

I know lots of people who say its a daily driver but lets face it most aren't. I seen alot of people try but have surging problems. I don't see many 10 sec supra's siting in summer traffic or going food shopping.

Atleast thats what it was like when i used to hang with the guys from performance factory.

id say its more xpensive to get an import into the 10's then a muscle car though--dyno tunes and all that pizzaz...w/ a muscle car you twist a couple screws on the carburetor, switch some jets/springs and adjust your timing and you're golden!

Exactly, for under $15,000 you can get a 5.0 doing 11's even 10's
(safely i should add, not just putting $15,000 into an import with 40 psi of boost and putting a piston threw the hood)

lol, i could run 30 psi on the stock turbo and it would be slower than 15 psi... my car cost 8500(2g awd) spent 2100 for a complete built motor(top and bottom) and about 2000 for the turbo setup and fuel mods(some parts were bought used).

I trap low 120's in the 1/4 and the car is my dd in 100 degree houston weather. I agree that domestics are generally better.. no replacement for displacement. But a NICELY done turbo setup on a import will be quick and can be done for relitively cheap.

btw, this was done on pump gas at 22 psi on a 50 trim turbo.

Slap a procharger (10psi) on a bone stock 2005 mustang and you will be pushing around 500hp to the wheels and easily run mid 11's with a a set of drag radials.

I bust SVT balls because i really dont prefer the mustang. Everything with a 5.slow thinks they have a race car. Althought, i really do like the older 85-89 i believe body styles. The boxy style ones.

In the beginning of the vid the car comes off the ground and when it comes back down its not 100 percent straight.

I'm curious what the drive train is like on that eclipse. Its mostly a rwd. It has skinnies up front. A normal eclispe most of the power goes to the front wheels in the awd. How do you alter that?

    Stock block and internals?
What kind of power are you running?

I am afraid to go above 450@the wheels with my 91 I heard the stock block has a good chance of splitting at around that power level....

I dont have that car anymore. I never dyno'd it but it was a stock block and crank. I had after market rods. I used to work at a mustang performance shop. We had alot of cars going low 11's with stock stuff.
