    really depends on the severity - go to a dermetologist.

    To little can do nothing
    To much can dry your skin, giving you chapped lips, nose bleeds, dry eyes erk

    Accutane can have some serious side effects, namely:

    . an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of
    the lips, tongue, or face; or hives);
    · changes in vision, blurred vision, or decreased vision (especially at night);
    · painful or constant dryness of the eyes;
    · depression including feelings of sadness, crying spells, irritability, changes in sleep patterns, unusual tiredness, trouble concentrating, loss of appetite, and/or suicidal thoughts or other mental problems;
    · stomach, chest, or bowel pain;
    · rectal bleeding, or severe or bloody diarrhea;
    · difficulty or pain when swallowing;
    · new or worsening heartburn;
    · yellowing of the skin or eyes or persistently dark urine;
    · severe headache or dizziness;
    · seizures;
    · nausea and vomiting;
    · joint or muscle pain or bone problems;
    · hearing problems or hearing loss;
    · trouble breathing;
    · fainting;
    · increased thirst or urination;
    · slurred speech or problems moving;
    · leg swelling;
    · increased levels of cholesterol or triglyceride (types of fat) in
    your blood (detected by blood tests).
    • Other, less serious side effects are more likely to occur.
    · inflammation, dryness, or cracking of the lips;
    · dry skin, dry mouth, dry or bleeding nose, dryness of the eyes
    and/or difficulty wearing contact lenses;
    · itching; or
    · increased sensitivity of the skin to the sun.

    See a Dermatologist or a MD for sure.

    Ive been on accutane 3 times. usually 6 month cycles. if its severe, maybe 80 mg per day. medium severity - 40 mgs per day. I took only 10 or 20 mgs a day for longer than six months. that was actually great because the sides were much less but my face didnt break out - it was like a maintenance cycle. you dont have to see a dermatologist, a regular doctor can prescribe it too. if you get on accutane, GOTTA WEAR SUNSCREEN!!!!!! or you will get fu**ed

    yea seriously I had terrible TERRIBLE acne as a freshman...I took accutane during the end of the year and summer, didnt go out at all cuz it was a train wreck, but when I came back the next year it was a whole new world. I haven't had a breakout since coming off it and I owe all the layers of my dermis to that beautiful product. It is hard on you, but I think having perfect skin is much more rewarding...but that is because I am a vain peice of shit

    Exactly, you had better have some severe acne before a derm will prescribe that anymore.

    Don't self-prescribe accutane...that could be one of the stupidest things you could do to yourself.
