I am wondering if some of you guru's out there can give me a list of steroids that do not produce DHT. I know Deca is one but not sure of what others are in the same boat.

I'd imagine all 19norrs
Could you be a bit more specific Kale? Testosterone is the only source of DHT.
I think Kale is wanting a list of those that don't convert to DHT via the 5-alpha reductase enzyme. But as you stated, basically all test based steroids will convert.
Unfortunately many people fear DHT although it is useful in a cycle.
Kale, basically any test-derived steroid or DHT-derivative can cause DHT effects (both good and bad) .

Avoiding DHT, doesn't mean you are safe from androgenic sides. Look at tren that is a 19nor.
so nandrolone is the only decent one i know.
Only testosterone converts to DHT, non of the derivatives do.
Thanks AG. The reason I am asking is that I have problems with my Prostate and one of the potential causes is DHT and therefore Test converting to DHT. So hence the reason for wanting something that doesnt convert. I am not trying to avoid androgenic sides.Originally Posted by almostgone

Would Dutasteride help ? I know its mainly for hair but its main purpose is to stop the conversion to DHT.Originally Posted by Kale
Its all kind of complicated. I have BPH thats Benign Prostate Hyperplasia or just enlargement of the Prostate. No one really knows the cause but some studies show DHT is a major cause, others say Estrogen. I am already taking Proscar which is Dutasteride. Now I am on a small does of Test for HRT purposes but I still want to cycle without the risk of flooding my system with DHT. So I need to know what juice I can take without adding fuel to the fire.Originally Posted by DSM4Life
I figure Deca and NPP but I am looking for others. The steroid profiles dont mention what is derived from Test and what isnt, some just mention production of DHT but nothing is very definitive.
I know that there are many post on so i would search away. You will have a lot to dig through though. I just did a cycle of Deca and i think it enlarged my prostate. Only evidence i have of it is that i had to piss 100 times a day no lie. It was getting out of hand. I would wake up at least 3-4 times in the night just to pee which was killing me from not getting enough sleep. I cut the deca short and ran the rest of my test e and the problem went away within about 2 weeks.Originally Posted by Kale

AG thanks for the effort mate. But I am still confused. So are you saying that anything that isnt in these two lists will not involve DHT for example Deca and NPP ?Originally Posted by almostgone
Deca converts to DiHydroNandrolone, not DHT technically...but DHN is much weaker than Nandrolone itself; in contrast, Equipoise converts to Dihydroboldenone which is much stronger than Boldenone itself. SO the issue of whether an androgen is 5a-reducible is not the determining factor in whether it will produce certain androgenic (or anabolic, for that matter) side effects. However, knowing which family-derivation a steroid is from can be useful in designing cycles around certain parameters.Originally Posted by Kale
I anticipated people wanting to know exactly which of the 3 families individual steroids were derived from, so when I wrote my book, I grouped steroids by family-derivation, not just in alphebetical order. I also included two tables of contents, one of which is in page order (so you can see which steroid is in which family), and one which is in alphebetical order (so you can look up steroids by name, and not family-derivation).
Hope this helps.
