    PW food choice - WHole Foods

    To those who eat a fast acting carb source posttraining, what is your typical choice? I always have 50g of whey and pw supplements, but my carb source changes as I get bored....what do you do? How many carbs do you shoot for?

    I either go:
    1.5 cups white rice

    or
    1 cup white rice w/ 4oz yam

    or

    2-4 cups cold cereal


    total of about 50-60 carbs

    2 scoops ON whey protein, 1 cup oats 1 banana in a blender with water and ice

    then a meal? 1hr later?

    I choose 10g's BCAAs and 40g Vitargo (2g Vit-C, and 400iu Vit-E, antioxidants), one hour later I take in my PWO Meal normally consisting of 40g lean protein + 40-50g complex carbs.

    Nice.....I like the whey and a quick carb source since my preworkout meal is simply a shake and an apple, or sometime chx......then I have a whole food meal with just fiberous veggies and protein...*wink*

    UNLESS, I train earlier like today.....Ill be just on 3 carb meals pretraining, with a shake right before, so I'll need carbs post too.....prob get done around 5......
