    cutting weight for football

I got my diet down solid but for cardio i do sprints agilites and other anaerobic exercises, is it possible to lose fat while doing anaerobic exercises like sprints and such while keeping a good clean diet or do you have to rely on more aerobic exercises like walking?

I played defensive end in high school, and I liked to do 30 minutes of stairmaster twice a week. It helped me shed a few pounds and increased my endurance off the line.

Yes, it will help. My more lean years was when I was younger relying on intense sprinting almost every day...

I find that with maintaining muscle...a slower HR and longer duration will preserve muscle better. I know you hear that all over this board..but that is what has worked best with me..

Sure, sprinting has its benefits for the sport itself..but for pure fatloss..I'd go with a lower intensity aerobic approach.
