thats bullshit, the only thing that can be harmful about it is if you don't drink enough water, then it's hard on your kidneys. IMO a good diet is one that is based primarily around turkey, chicken, tuna, eggs, but includes at least 1 portion of red meat daily for the nutrients and iron you wont find in the other meats.
so should i have chicken in 2 meals and steak in 1 a day or just have red meat 2 times a week.

One of my personal training clients eats zero red meat and guess what...he has a huge iron deficiency. I think a serving per day would be fine.
Hell I'll never pass on my steak or ground sirloin....so many protien choices out there never limit yourself to just a few...I recommend at least 2 to 3 times a week.
I seriously doubt those that say its harmfull. It seems unlogical that a food we humans have evolved to eat would be harmfull to us. Just like eggs have turned out to be good for you I bet the same will happen to red meat.
Not so long ago everyone claimed all saturated fats are the devil, now its evident that some saturated fats are extremely important and healthy.
The only reason I could be imagine for red meat to be bad is because of all the shit they inject those damn animals with. Antibiotics, hormones, god knows what and that they dont get a very varied diet. Free grazing cattle is probably the healthiest meat except wild game.
The cattle industry seems to be quite disgusting. Cant say I have much insight into it though.
