Meal is better IMO but you have to be careful of your food choices.
I do low fat/low fiber meal, No more than 30-40g protein and 40-50g carbs (medium GI like white rice, potato, bagel, pasta etc)
Shake seems as if it'd be digested too quickly, Although I do like a BCAA/Maltodextrin combo 10min before the gym.
shake is not a replacement of a meal.. its and add on
i usally have my breakfast consisting of eggs oats then i work out... seems to work well
shake with breakfast and dinner works best.. when u first wake up and before bed.. as we know we grow with rest.. and with breakfast just gives us NRG!

If that is your in your avi then 100carbs preworkout is way overdoing it.
I'd drop it to 50 and cook your oats rather than drinking them, drop the whey for say chicken or fish.
The idea is to lean bulk, if you overdo carbs/prot/fat, (carbs especially) you're gonna put on a lot o unnecessary BF during your bulk. In turn when you have to cut it off you'll lose some of the LBM you worked so hard to put on.
ive been using 100g carbs for a while and havent really seen anyover flow so to speak in regards to putting on bodyfat..However i may try and reduce carbs and see the effect it has
Are you just blending and drinking them?
100carbs is approx 2cups of oats, Try cooking 1cup and eating it.
I sometimes have just a shake if I have had a good 3 meals prior......if not, it's chicken and an apple for moi
yes it is ok to have a shake....we still buy protein powders and gainers for a reason people act like they have no place in our diets, but they absolutely have thier place. I know a lot of 280+lbers that workout in the am on an empty stomach infact a lot of Dantes (doggcrap) trainees who eat like mad men workout empty in the morning, i drink a cytogainer w/ water and BCAA 30minutes b4 my morning workout at 5am followed by vitargo and BCAA then a whole food meal on hour after workout.
Man, Do you have your ab workout posted somewhere? I am interested in taking a look at it. Yes, I do realize their is more to it then just the work out.Originally Posted by tommyZX6R
