    Lifting newb who needs advice.

    Greets all.

I've been in and out of the gym until about 9 or so months ago, when I made a concrete effort to bulk up. However, I have hit a brick wall in recent months. I'm not sure if it's my diet, routine, or shitty genetics, but I have a feeling I could be a lot bigger than I am now.

I would say I am an ectomorphic-endomorphic mix. My current stats are:

    Height: 5' 10"
    Weight: 287lbs
    BF%: 20-25
    Chest: 50"
    Biceps: 17.5"
    Quads: 30"
    Calves: 16"

Should I focus on cutting rather than bulking?
    Could I benefit from supplements?

depends on your goals so its hard to recommend a method but dont drop more than 2 lbs a week so you dont shock your metabolism and strip muscle as well.

I am in your debt, MuscleScience. Many thanks.

My goal is likely to go pro, though I do believe that won't be for another few or so years.

    Welcome to AR!

I'd try to focus on dropping that body fat %.

AM cardio with a proper diet work amazingly well.

I guess Ill add to the general thought that you need to cut down first...Im in the twenty-somethings as well in BF and I plan to keep cutting down until Im at the most, 15% bf. (More like 10-12% though) And good luck man, theres TONS of good info and good peeps here!
